Our tester received the new Vanquish just as this issue was going to press and promptly decided it was a must inclusion. “At first blush the reel combines gunmetal good looks with feather weights, a huge arbor, and truck-stopping conical drag power. (The V8 weighs a mere 7 oz—an ounce less than the already lithe, same size ULA Force.)” Vanquish reels are available in five 8- through 12-weight configurations designed specifically for salt water.
