 Abel’s newest reel name is an acronym for “quick change” because its spool is easily removed by completely backing off the drag knob, pushing it in, turning the center cap clockwise, and pulling to remove. The reel has the same sturdy construction and dependable drag system as the time-tested Super Series. Our tester used the 7/8 version in Belize and said “The reel has a smooth drag with no start-up inertia to overcome, and it performed for me smoothly and dependably on as many as 15 bonefish per day running as high as 8 pounds.
