Ted Juracsik’s newest reel is weighted and balanced for the fatter lines and longer rods used for Spey fishing. A deeper spool reservoir provides extra capacity (300 yards of 30-pound-Dacron backing) and the quick-change design allows for tool-free spool changes. The 12.5-oz reels have a 43⁄8"x13⁄4" frame and are sized for 11- through 15-weight two-handed rods. The cork drag system is controlled by a drag knob outlined in what Tibor calls “witness marks” for precise and reproducable drag settings. Tibor Spey reels are moss green and come engraved with either a steelhead or Celtic knot pattern.www.tiborreel.com.
