 The green Sharkskin Steelhead has a front taper of 71⁄2', a 6" tip, and a 441⁄2' belly— for longer line carry when reaching the far bank is mandatory—followed by a 15' rear taper. In addition to this highly functional design, Sharkskin’s slick, textured surface is, as far as our testers are concerned, a sweet move for steelhead fishing. “Combine a smooth, delayed kick front taper with the shooting capabilities of Sharkskin and you automatically improve casting distance across the board. And not only does the line shoot, its impressive floating allows for long-distance line mends as well as throwing a series of stack mends into the mix for  extended drifts.” No problems with cold-weather coiling were reported.
